It is hard to find the words to write this post … and forgive me if I don’t write it well as I am definitely stronger with images than words…
This shoot was a celebration of beautiful new life in the aftermath of a terrible loss.
Layla Fenwick … a beautiful, bright little bub, gorgeous like her mother and the absolute image of her father, Josh, who was tragically taken from the world before getting to meet this wonderful little lady. It’s hard to describe how it felt on the day, knowing such a large and wonderful person was missing, but I knew he was really there, and is still there with Megan and Layla, making sure that they get through every single day. Seeing the support that Megan had in the form of her family, her friends and in generous strangers was incredibly touching, and I hope that gives her comfort when she needs it. I can only speak for myself in saying that Megan will always have support from me, whenever she needs and I am sure that I could say that for many others. When I heard the news I immediately ran through lists of things that I could try to do to help, and I hope these images help in some way to do that… Particularly the images that we managed to incorporate Josh into, this was something that Megan and I discussed, and we wanted Layla to have something, a memory with her dad to treasure. I honestly hope that I have done the Fenwick family proud, and I hope that it can help to keep the memories of him alive and comfort them all into the future
In Memory of Joshua Fenwick. A wonderful person taken too soon.
